Meet your host
Alex Howard has spent the last 25 years working as a therapist and coach specialising in complex chronic and mental illnesses. 

As the Founder of The Optimum Health Clinic, Alex manages a team of 25 full-time practitioners supporting thousands of patients in 50+ countries, pioneering online treatment in the field since 2004.

In addition to publishing academic research in the British Medical Journal Open and Psychology and Health, Alex has authored three best-selling books: Why Me?: My Journey from ME to Health and Happiness; Decode Your Fatigue; and It’s Not Your Fault: Why Childhood Trauma Shapes You and How to Break Free.

In recent years, Alex has created some of the largest online conferences in the health and mind-body space, attended by over 1.5 million people, including the annual Anxiety Super Conference.

Day 2:

Mental anxiety

We’ll focus on mental anxiety, uncovering what it feels and looks like. You’ll find out what thought patterns trigger anxiety and learn ways to stop them in their tracks.

Day 3:

Emotional anxiety

You’ll learn to recognise symptoms of emotional anxiety, helping you understand when you’re experiencing or witnessing it. We’ll explore the role of trauma in anxiety and the transformative power of emotional healing.

We’ll unpack the last type of anxiety—focusing on the influence blood sugar levels and hormones have on physical anxiety.
